Sexual Exploitation Outreach Team Leader Hours: 35 per week Contract: Funding until January 2027 Location: Newport (but may have to travel to other areas on occasions dependant on need) Salary: £26,000 per annum, rising to £26,500 after successful 6 months probationary period Compulsory participation on 2nd tear on-call rota Agile Working Enabling team members to have flexibility around where, when, and how they work to optimise performance, maximise outcomes and do their best work. Pupose of the Post: To provide assistance in the management and delivery of a high quality, pro-active, responsive, trauma informed, and person led specialist sexual exploitation community outreach support service that enable people to feel safe and empowered. Specific Responsibilities As a senior member of the team, you will support the Exploitation Service Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, trauma informed, person led services within the Sexual Exploitation Community Outreach Support Service. Carry a caseload within the community outreach provision. Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained in relation to all aspects of the service, including inputting information into our Information Management System. Oversee and develop support plans, risk and needs assessments and safety planning in line with the risks and needs of individuals we support, and review accordingly. Lead the outreach team to enable those being supported via our community outreach provision to achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes, led by them. Provide support to individuals accessing the service, as well as to team members, around identifying and managing any safety and safeguarding concerns, to contact any required statutory bodies such as the police or social services when required. Support people who are being exploited to have a voice and provide feedback within the organisation and the sector, including surveys, listening sessions and external opportunities. Contribute to challenging the stigma that surrounds individuals who are exploited through the sex industry and ensure that those being exploited are not misrepresented. Collaboratively work with the Arcadia Team Leader to ensure accommodation and outreach referral pathways are easily accessible, are clear and concise, and to continue to promote a whole team approach. Support the outreach team to when appropriate, signpost and support those being exploited to other services they wish to engage with for example drug and alcohol services, social services, police, health, sexual health, legal, DWP, housing, homelessness, recreational, educational, and cultural services, as well as Cyfannol Women’s Aid other internal services. Promote multi agency working and collaborate with other services/ organisations, working together when requested, to support the achievement of the best outcomes for people receiving support. Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), CASAM’s/ 115 meetings, Safeguarding meetings, core group and other similar meetings, ensuring all tasks/ actions allocated to Cyfannol Women’s Aid are completed. Line management responsibilities including supervisions, 360’s, inductions for the community outreach team (team members, volunteers and students). Assist with routine audits including our electronic database and assist in developing improvement plans where appropriate. Identify training needs following audits, supervisions, observations etc, and co-ordinate training for team members. Lead regular team meetings and participate in full team meetings with the wider team. Manage and oversee the rotas for outreach including the weekly outreach rota as well as Op Pathway ensuring the outreach service is adequately and safely staffed at all times. Navigate the Hwb drop in, ensuring there is cover available who can offer support when needed. Managing the attendance of team members to be able to offer support at other local drop in’s such as GDAS Hub, Eden Gate drop in, Salvation Army drop in etc… To oversee operational Health & Safety requirements within the outreach service, overseeing and undertaking risk assessments with/on individuals, locations and activities and review accordingly. Ensuring that there are adequate stock levels for outreach items and ordering within an allocated budget. To foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation that ensures our support and services are safe. Support the Exploitation Service Manager in compiling reports for Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) Statistics, Housing Support Grant (HSG), Community Lottery and other relevant reports for projects, services and funders. Being responsive to requests from other members of the organisation for quantitative and qualitative data, including for example, the creation of case studies. Contribute to logging and recording information concerning the outreach vehicle including regular checks for maintenance on/ in the vehicle as well as ensuring the vehicle is road worthy at all General Responsibilities Contribute to the: Development and achievement of our Vision, Mission and Objectives.
