About the Role
As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning and providing daily nutritious meals, ensuring fresh and budget-conscious food purchases. You will maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards while inspiring and motivating your team.
Working Days and Hours
1. Working Days: Negotiable, with alternating weekends required.
2. Hours: Full Time Hours
Skills and Attributes
1. Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
2. Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
3. Knowledge of nutrition and ability to develop menus meeting dietary requirements.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Effective time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
7. Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Qualifications
1. Food Hygiene Certified - Level 2 (willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications).
2. First Aid Certified.
3. NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
