We are looking for a Finance/Accountancy Apprentice to join our Christchurch, Dorset team As a Finance/Accountancy (HR) Apprentice, you will receive training from industry professionals across Curtiss-Wright. You will work with us onsite 4 days per week and you will also attend college / university on a day release format in order to complete your Degree Apprenticeship qualifications. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the organisation, gaining valuable hands-on experience with our experts in both the design and manufacture of our products all whilst earning a Degree level qualification; you will also be required to complete the end point assessment as part of the course. Career with Curtiss-Wright GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4) essential Other Accountancy, Finance, Business (Grade degree) essential Upon successful completion of the course and end point assessment, you can expect to continue in Finance/Accounting The Challenge Examines various financial statements for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with uniform accounting classifications Examines assigned accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable accounting standards Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records Assists in the preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports Provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures Qualifications Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship Standard Curtiss-Wright is a long-standing company who were at the forefront of aviation. The role will support three business units and provide Finance/Accountancy support to an established Finance function.
