We are looking for a Finance/Accountancy Apprentice to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!
As a Finance/Accountancy (HR) Apprentice, you will receive training from industry professionals across Curtiss-Wright. You will work with us onsite 4 days per week and you will also attend college / university on a day release format in order to complete your Degree Apprenticeship qualifications.
You will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the organisation, gaining valuable hands-on experience with our experts in both the design and manufacture of our products all whilst earning a Degree level qualification; you will also be required to complete the end point assessment as part of the course.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
* As an apprentice you will through First Intuition obtain the CIMA qualification
* You will attend college one day a week
* Training on the job in all aspects of Finance/Accounting field

The Challenge
* Examines various financial statements for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with uniform accounting classifications
* Examines assigned accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable accounting standards
* Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
* Assists in the preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports
* Provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements
* Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures

* Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship Standard

The role will support three business units and provide Finance/Accountancy support to an established Finance function. With three Curtiss-Wright Divisions having operations in Bournemouth, there are plenty of opportunities to progress your career on successful completion of your apprenticeship. We design, manufacture and market a wide range of Curtiss-Wright engineering products and solutions from the facility, which employs around 500 people.
