Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the 3-bed home, ensuring high-quality, tailored care for children with learning disabilities. Lead and inspire a small team to deliver individualised support that promotes independence and well-being. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and relevant LD-specific legislation. Develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of each resident. Oversee budgets, financial records, and the maintenance of the home's facilities. Coordinate admissions and discharges, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation. Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals. Participate in on-call duties and occasional sleep-ins to support staff and residents as needed. Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Deputy Manager ready to advance or a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting. Specific expertise in supporting children with learning disabilities (LD) is highly desirable. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to achieve it with support. Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., Children's Homes Regulations).
