We are currently seeking a Casual Senior Specialist School Transport Passenger Assistants to Safely escort and be responsible for pupils with a specific health care need (where there is a health care plan), including those with special educational needs from their home or pick up point and during their transport to and from school. The successful candidate will support such pupils and administer appropriate medical high risk and non-generic interventions where required. The hours worked will be on a casual basis and split shifts to accommodate transport from home to schools in the mornings and to transport from school to home in the afternoons. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the passengers needs and abilities. They will be expected to communicate with empathy. They will also be willing to undertake PATS training, training to meet the health care needs of the child, first aid training and Safeguarding and CSE training. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the service. Hours may vary due to the different routes, numbers of passengers on the bus and traffic conditions. You will also be expected to work as part of the team in this role.
