Beaumont Sussex is a West Sussex based, newly set up satellite provision of Beaumont College, which is based in Lancaster.
Beaumont College has an excellent reputation through its existing satellites of providing a person-centred curriculum to young people with physical and learning disabilities, aged 19 to 25 years.
Within the idyllic grounds of Ingfield Manor, Beaumont Sussex provides exceptional learning opportunities to support young people fulfil their potential and prepare for the transition to adulthood. Facilities include woodland and outdoor classroom space, bespoke classroom environment and swimming pool.
About The Role
Hours: 40 Hours per week.
Salary: £32,000 to £37,000 for Term Time Only (39 Weeks) or £36,000 to £42,000 for Full Year working (52 Weeks).
Term Time Only options also available for this position. Christmas and New year period open for annual leave, dependent on start date.
Job Overview
We are currently recruiting a Head of Care to join our college team. The post holder will lead and manage a team of staff to ensure students’ needs are met and their health needs are managed in accordance with their prescribing professional. The postholder will also be either the designated or deputy designated safeguarding lead and work in partnership and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Support the staff team to prepare person-centred care planning working directly with the learners to ensure their preferred approaches are clear and appropriate to meet the needs of learners
Lead and manage compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines to provide excellence in person-centred care and support for students
Undertake the role, duties and training associated with a Designated Safeguarding Officer for Safeguarding (adults and children)
Support pre-entry processes to ensure the desk-based assessment of documentary evidence supports the assessment process, and accurately informs staffing and training needs where the applicants need can be met.
Lead on care-related pre-entry processes to determine compatibility and transition support needs, in consultation with the Lead Tutor for the serviceWe believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, active and fulfilling life, regardless of their background or disability.
