The Assistant Operations Manager is a management role requiring good knowledge of commercial cleaning, excellent relationship skills, and outstanding organisational skills. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of cleaning contracts throughout Kent, maintaining strong working relationships with clients, while managing and motivating staff.
Duties will include building positive client relationships, supervising and training staff, managing budgets, inventory, and resources, and liaising with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for identifying and resolving problems, managing risks, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback to staff, report on performance and progress, ensure customer satisfaction and compliance, and support the operations manager in developing and executing strategic plans and goals.
As an assistant operations manager in the cleaning industry, it is essential to have a diverse set of skills and abilities to perform effectively. This includes:
* Leadership and management skills to motivate and guide staff.
* Communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different people and handle conflicts.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating data and making decisions.
* Time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks.
* Attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, creativity, and innovation for ensuring quality and compliance, as well as finding solutions and improving processes.
* Some background cleaning or services industry knowledge.
* Strong understanding of operational processes and procedures, including inventory management and logistics.
* Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and working towards IOSH certifications.
Based at our office in Ashford, Kent, you will need to be a driver with your own vehicle and much of your time will be visiting and auditing sites throughout Kent on a weekly and monthly basis.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
