In order to achieve this business outcome; Technology needs to modernize and simplify the IT infrastructure and applications landscape in Europe with over 2000+ applications enabling increased speed to market, reduced cost to serve and to deliver a more resilient service.
The Successful candidate will lead both strategic transactions and major regulatory programs across Europe for technology involving 10+ data centers housing applications and infrastructure across 22 markets
This position is seen as pivotal to achieving ongoing RTB and CTB cost targets, as well as driving successful execution of the current program scope, the role holder will also develop a first class working relationship with the vendor and internal stakeholder community to ensure that robust and streamlined oversight, governance and reporting is implemented both during the transition (go live of services) and the ongoing management of the strategic programs
Job Requirements:
* Lead the execution and delivery of strategic programs within Europe, Influence the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes.
* Support Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget
* Provide management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
* Oversee the monitoring and reporting of progress, issues, dependencies, risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
* Oversee process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as: disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes, continuous DevOps pipelines development.
* Drive adherence to standard controls and drives teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs.
* Establish effective governance and controls, in line with Business Transformation Framework and coordination of cross technology teams, cross Global Business/Global Functions delivery
* Ensure monitoring and management of both commercial and legal risks through the strategic programs.
Qualification and Skills:
* Strong background in Technology, Agile and DevSecOps especially executing transactions.
* Experience of managing significant transformation and global organisational change programmes in a large matrix organisation, with the ability to influence key stakeholders across GB/GFs, regions and upward stakeholder management with senior executives
* Strong interpersonal skills – ability to influence, lead and drive teams to deliver. Demonstrate good judgement and a high level of communication skills to achieve effective stakeholder management. Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely, suitable for all levels across the HSBC group. Gravitas and ability to interact with and coach senior executives
* Ability to lead and motivate teams to effectively transform and embed cultural change
* Strong Commercial Orientation, ability in balancing risks vs. rewards and maximizing the cost effectiveness and profitability for the business
