Maintenance Engineer
Location: North Lincolnshire
Salary: £49,000 - £52,000
Shift Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4on 4off
About the Role
My client is seeking a Shift Engineer to join their team at a leading food manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal production efficiency by maintaining and improving plant equipment performance. You will be responsible for carrying out both proactive and reactive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
Implement preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance
Carry out planned maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed to a high standard
Work collaboratively with production, technical, and NPD teams to maintain safety and quality standards
Train and support operators to handle minor maintenance tasks
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and food safety regulations
Take ownership of maintenance projects and ensure timely completion
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Health & Safety, etc.)
Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
Strong PLC fault-finding and diagnostic skills (desirable)
A safety-first mindset with knowledge of HACCP and COSHH regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (SAP PM preferred)
