Early Help Advisors (SEND)
In Children’s Services, we are seeking to recruit Early Help SEND Advisors based in the Partner & Community SEND and Inclusion Support Line Team.
Are you patient and compassionate and able to listen and be curious?
We need Early Help SEND Advisors who can liaise with services, families, and their networks to be the first step towards identifying the most appropriate support. The work can be complex, and no contact will be the same so being adaptable and flexible is key to the role.
As an Early Help SEND Advisor, you will be triaging, providing information, advice and guidance on a wide range of services. You will provide telephone responses, manage requests for support, and liaise with internal and external partners to support families, ensuring the right support from the right source is provided to meet the family’s needs around Special Education Needs and Inclusion.
The role is office-based with communication primarily through telephone and email, so experience of communicating verbally and in writing is essential. There is a need for accurate case recording, so the ability to follow processes and use computer packages will be needed alongside excellent communication skills which will be essential to the role.
In return, the team offers a supportive working environment with an excellent induction package, peer support, and training.
We’re committed to continuous professional development and offer benefits such as Norfolk Rewards – a scheme offering discounts on everyday purchases.
It’s your time to be part of our journey.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely with our extended teams.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children or other vulnerable groups. Appointment will also be subject to police vetting.
