The Area: Penzance, the largest town in West Cornwall, famous for its historic port and ancient market town. Rosevean Vets lies in the centre of it all with easy access to all local amenities, it sits right on the local bus routes and in close distance to Penzance train station. About you: The ideal candidate will be a skilled nurse who delivers exceptional inpatient care to our furry patients, as well as support and empathy to our clients. You will enjoy emergency care and work closely with the on-call vets to manage an OOH caseload. It’s important to us you are a team player with the ability to work autonomously when required, but also be able to collaborate well with the wider team. The Role: Patient handovers between day and night teams Inpatient care for patients hospitalised overnight Assisting on-call vets with small animal emergencies Forward OOH calls to the relevant on-call vet (small animal or large animal (prior large animal experience is not required) Work life balance is important to us at Rosevean and we believe our 3 week rolling rota of only 7 nights in every 21 strikes that perfect balance. Week 1: Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs Nights. Week 2: Fri night, Saturday from 12:30pm to Monday 8am. Week 3: Off. As a night nurse working out of hours, you will also have use of a dedicated flat for breaks and relaxation during shifts.
