Job summary Do you want to develop new skills and support others during their rehabilitation after neurological illness? An opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Technician to join the Wolfson Neurorehabilitation team at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, working within the Physiotherapy team. As a therapy technician you will require previous experience of working with the public and experience of working in a team. Previous experience of working in a therapy technician role is desirable, but not essential. Main duties of the job The post will involve working alongside qualified therapists to provide direct patient intervention (both one to one and group sessions), administrative tasks, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, information gathering and promotion of best quality patient care. You will also be required to work at St Georges Hospital on regular rostered weekends. We offer support, supervision, in house training and the opportunity to work in a dedicated and highly skilled therapy and multi-disciplinary team. Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, demonstrate confidence in dealing with the public and possess excellent communication skills. They will need to be able to complete tasks delegated to them as well as have the ability to use their initiative. Good team work skills are essential as well as basic IT skills.
