About Us: Our client is a specialist contractor in smoke ventilation design and installation. We provide design, installation, and servicing of residential smoke ventilation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your electrical knowledge and gain valuable experience in a specialist sector with market leadership potential.
About the Role: We are looking for four electrical engineers with varying degrees of experience. For the top hourly rate, we seek experienced and fully qualified electrical engineers. At the lower end of the pay scale, candidates should have some electrical experience, partial qualifications, or be currently undertaking training with a willingness to build their experience. Further training may be necessary as the position progresses. We are open to candidates at any experience level within this range. The role involves installing cabling and commissioning our specialist smoke ventilation control systems (full training for commissioning will be provided). While much of our work is in and around London, we also have projects in Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester. The role is nationwide, and candidates must be comfortable working and staying away from home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forward-thinking and taking initiative in your work.
2. Working from engineering drawings and equipment technical documents.
3. Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems to a high standard (commissioning training provided).
4. Holding a suitable ECS card/JIB card and a full driving licence.
5. Pasma/IPAF is desirable.
What We Offer:
1. Hourly rate between £13.50 - £18.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, typically completing 45-50 hours per week, including paid travel time.
2. £30 per night allowance for staying away from home, in addition to your salary.
3. 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (increasing by 1 day per year after 2 years, up to a maximum of 27 days plus 8 bank holidays).
