Overview
The Housekeeping Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the establishment. This position involves overseeing the housekeeping team to ensure that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Duties
1. Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, providing training and support as necessary.
2. Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are maintained efficiently.
3. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
4. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
5. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are kept.
6. Address any guest complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
7. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
8. Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, including staff performance and inventory usage.
Skills
1. Proven experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
2. Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and manage a diverse team.
3. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
