Description
1. Provide professional financial and management information services, ensuring best value, value for money, and risk management principles are upheld.
2. Undertake complex accountancy tasks and offer expert financial advice to support service objectives.
3. Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial data to assist managers in making informed operational decisions.
4. Support budgeting, year-end accounting, and ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and procedures.
5. Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, promote fairness and inclusion, and ensure effective communication with customers.
6. Supervise finance officers and apprentices, and organise training events to enhance the financial knowledge of managers.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
1. AAT Qualification or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and legislation.
3. Experience working within a public sector or service-based environment.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software.
5. Report writing and analytical skills.
6. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
Job Offer
A salary range between £35,000 to £40,000.
West Yorkshire Pension Scheme 17.1% employer contribution.
