Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the classroom, assisting students with their academic, social, and emotional development. Your role will involve working alongside teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, ensuring that every child feels valued and encouraged. SEN TA Key Responsibilities: Offer one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties. Adapt learning materials and strategies to suit individual student needs. Encourage students' participation and build their confidence in the classroom. Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation techniques. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Track and document student progress, sharing insights with the teaching team and parents. Who We Are Looking For: Experience working with SEN students is beneficial, but a willingness to learn is equally valued. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families. A commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning. A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
