We have a fabulous
job opportunity for a Handy Person to join our awesome Hampshire North team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers. As a business we support customers with mental health, learning disabilities, ex-offenders and substance misuse in a wide range of properties and grounds.
Typical day as a Handy Person
1. Doing minor or emergency repairs and re-decoration where needed.
2. Doing things like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paints, changing tap washers, unblocking sinks and clearing properties where necessary.
3. Working with colleagues and customers throughout your day.
4. Liaising with our housing management coordinator to report repairs outside of your remit.
5. Finally, if building flat pack furniture is your thing, then this is the perfect job for you!

About You
6. A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.
7. You’re multi skilled with general maintenance skills, know a bit about general repairs, carpentry, basic plumbing and can wield a broom or paint brush!
8. Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life
9. It would be amazing if you have been a handy person in a previous job, but it’s not a deal breaker.
10. Able to use technology for any training or admin that may need doing.
11. To get from A to B, you’ll be provided with a van and fuel card and will need to have clean driving licence

12. We're flexible and as long as we can meet our customers need, we can flex your work patterns to suit you.
13. Based at our service in Basingstoke you’ll spend your time travelling around the properties in our geographical patch, predominantly in Basingstoke and Farnborough.
14. Occasionally travel outside of our patch / service to work on a property that you may not have worked on before, or when we have an all hands on deck situation.
15. You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
