We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Merchandiser to join us as we enter this next stage of growth.
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are perfectly positioned across channels, optimising sales, and delivering a seamless experience for our customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and make a tangible impact on our growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Trading & Sales Optimisation:
* Prepare and present weekly direct trade packs and retail trade reports.
* Conduct site walks and develop e-commerce trading proposals to identify opportunities for growth and mitigate stock risks.
* Analyse and propose actions to optimise stock performance online and in-store.
Stock Management:
* Oversee stock trading between direct channels and wholesale, ensuring alignment with sales strategies.
* Propose weekly ATS (Available to Sell) plans and manage stock transfers between warehouses.
* Maintain and update line cards, reviewing weekly to propose actionable steps for effective stock management.
Seasonal Planning:
* Compile and maintain the seasonal store planning document, ensuring accurate store grading.
* Review and update IAQs (Initial Allocation Quantities) at the start of each season.
Sizing and Pricing:
* Own sizing responsibilities across all buys, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
* Manage all retail and wholesale pricing, including currency conversions to USD and EUR.
Delivery and Communication:
* Collaborate with the MAA (Merchandising Admin Assistant) to manage delivery schedules and communicate intake dates or delays to the wider team.
E-commerce Stock Reviews:
* Conduct bi-weekly reviews of e-commerce stock to identify fragmented styles for off-site or last-chance promotions.
* Propose actions to transition specific styles to the archive when necessary.
Store Visits and Stock Allocation:
* Conduct monthly visits to physical stores, ensuring optimal stock levels and sizing are maintained to drive sales.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in a merchandising or similar retail role, ideally within the fashion industry.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and propose actionable insights.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools for data analysis and reporting.
