The Role:
As Design Manager, you will:
* Lead and manage the design process for a range of energy projects, including renewable energy projects (e.g., wind farms, solar farms), power generation facilities, and energy transmission and distribution infrastructure.
* Develop and implement design strategies that meet project requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
* Coordinate and manage the work of internal and external design teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
* Oversee the production of design drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
* Review and approve design deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality.
* Manage design risk, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure timely and cost:effective design delivery.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
What Were Looking For:
* A proven track record in design management within the civil engineering industry, ideally with significant experience in the energy sector.
* A strong understanding of energy sector regulations, best practices, and design standards relevant to the types of energy projects undertaken (e.g., wind farms, power generation, transmission and distribution).
* Excellent knowledge of relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
* A proactive and solutions:oriented approach to design management, with a commitment to delivering high:quality designs within budget and schedule.
