Job summary Senior Clinical Fellow - substantive post in Respiratory Medicine This is a full-time substantive post in response to service needs The post holder will take part in Tier 2 Medical out-of-hours on-calls in General Internal medicine including hospital at night and specialty on-calls for weekends and long days. Main duties of the job The role will involve managing inpatients under the care of Respiratory medicine and will include weekly outpatient clinics where the post holder will review both new and follow-up patients, alongside the patient's primary consultant. The post holder will be expected to share in the rota holding the on-call phone for respiratory advice and referrals, alongside the other IMT3 team members. Part of the role will include overseeing juniors on the tier 1 (house officer/SHO) rota. As part of the role, there will be the expectation to undertake pleural procedures (aspiration, drains) under ultrasound, for which training can be provided. Interest in a subspecialty area within respiratory medicine available at NNUH may be able to be accommodated where possible.
