You will be providing sustainability subject matter expertise and working directly with the clients while overseeing contributions from the wider team to deliver meaningful solutions. This role sits within our Sustainable Aviation team, part of the Aviation, Travel and Tourism consulting division, and while is likely to be focussed on aviation sustainability, offers a range of opportunities to contribute to the diverse projects delivered across the wider division. This role can be based in either Spain or the UK. How you will make an impact: Lead the delivery of small to mid-size aviation sustainability projects. Provide ICF's clients with cutting-edge solutions to never-before-seen challenges. To do this, you will be constantly learning, keeping up to date with new market developments, policies, methodologies and practices and developing new ways of working. Own and develop a stream of the support we provide to key clients, understanding their challenges, managing solutions long-term, and maintaining regular communication. Support business growth including activities such as building industry relationships, writing proposals, contributing to insightful articles, and presenting at conferences. Mentor junior consultants in projects and act as a guide for their early career growth. The strengths and behaviours required: Expertise and interest in sustainability Enthusiasm to drive aviation industry decarbonisation Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Sound business ethics, including the protection of confidential information An approach to better delivery through teamwork and cross-team collaboration The knowledge, skills and experience we're looking for: At least 5 years' direct experience in one or more of the following: Aviation decarbonisation strategy development and implementation. Carbon accounting System decarbonisation in fuels, energy or transportation. Life Cycle Assessment methodologies Sustainability policy development, evaluation and/or implementation. At least 6 months experience in leading small project teams to deliver solutions with responsibilities including subject matter expertise, delegation and oversight of junior members of the team, liaising directly with key stakeholders, and effective prioritisation given project budget and time constraints. Excellent communication skills including formal report writing, team coordination, presentation and client management, primarily in English. Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Experience in line management is not required but may be relevant given the level of experience of the candidate.
