We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated HGV Fitter to join our clients growing team in Thurrock, offering competitive pay and a dynamic work environment. This role involves inspecting and maintaining a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring compliance with all required legal safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service and inspect vehicles to VOSA standards.
2. Diagnose and rectify faults as they arise.
3. Identify and order necessary parts.
4. Perform breakdown duties when required.
5. Maintain accurate documentation in the vehicle maintenance system.
6. Keep the workshop facilities, tools, and equipment clean and well-maintained.
7. Ensure proper use of PPE.
8. Perform routine servicing and repairs, including brakes, gearbox, and clutch repairs.
9. Work to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics (essential).
2. Experience in a busy HGV workshop (essential).
3. ADR experience and knowledge (essential).
42 hours per week, between 06:00 AM and 07:00 PM, on a rotating shift pattern.
