Housing Officer
Salary: £22 per hour umbrella
Contract: 3 months
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Housing Officer to join a Housing Association based in Kent on a temporary contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Housing Allocations and Void Management: Minimize void periods, conduct pre- and post-void inspections, and support tenants in maintaining their tenancies.
Rent Management: Monitor and manage tenant rent accounts, ensuring timely payments and taking appropriate action to address arrears. Provide tenants with guidance on rent payments and available financial support services.
Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB): Handle reports of ASB effectively, working closely with tenants and external agencies to investigate and resolve issues. Promote a safe and harmonious community environment through proactive engagement.
Estate Management: Oversee communal cleaning, grounds maintenance, and service contracts, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards.
Tenancy Support: Provide intensive housing management services, support tenants with daily contact and emergency responses, and organize social events to foster community engagement.
Compliance: Adhere to GDPR, Health & Safety regulations, and equality policies, ensuring tenants receive fair and inclusive services.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in housing management (CIH qualification desirable).
Proven experience in housing management for a social housing provider
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to use IT for service improvements.
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
