We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse for Harrow and Brent. While this is a full-time role based on-site, were happy to consider part-time applicants, with a minimum of 22 hours per week. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team where no two days are the same. In this community-based role, you'll work in schools and local communities, mentoring junior staff and leading a team of nurses to ensure they work safely and effectively. You'll play a key role in increasing the uptake of vaccinations in this age group. You'll be well-supported by a growing network of Clinical Leads from across England and the Clinical Director, ensuring you have the autonomy to manage your role while always having the support you need to excel. Main duties of the job Your main role will involve visiting schools alongside the immunisation team each day to support them in vaccinating children against diseases such as HPV, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Meningitis, and Measles. From September to December, you'll also assist in administering the flu vaccine to children in both primary and secondary schools. You'll need relevant experience and knowledge of immunisations, as you'll be mentoring junior staff and ensuring they're competent to practice. In addition, you'll conduct audits, address any clinical incidents or complaints, and collaborate closely with the Team Lead and Programme Manager to drive vaccination uptake within Harrow and Brent. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. As an experienced vaccinator, you'll lead by example and ensure the team receives the clinical supervision they need, both in group settings and on a 1:1 basis.
