Children and Young People’s Project Workers
Various hours available - Temporary posts, with the possibility of extension subject to successful funding
Salary £13.03 per hour
Purpose of the role:
The Children and Young People’s Workers will support children and young people from the Bolton area to work through trauma as a result of exposure to Domestic Abuse and Violence (DAV). The Worker will assess, support and educate children and young people both individually and as part of group work sessions. Identifying and assisting with safeguarding issues is a key part of this role.
We particularly encourage applications from those who have experience of working with the BAME community and have specialist knowledge to overcome language, cultural and faith barriers to maximise engagement with all Fortalice domestic abuse support services on offer.
Key skills:
1. An ability to build and develop supportive relationships with children and young people, maintaining professional boundaries.
2. Experience of delivering group work and individual support sessions with children and young people of all age ranges.
3. A sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection, Early Help, adults at risk and a commitment to follow procedure.
