Leeds Sixth Form College is looking for an A Level Lecturer in Fine Art and Textiles on a part-time basis. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers. This role consists of teaching A Level Fine Art and A Level Textiles to students, introducing them to a range of art and textile influences, approaches, and mediums. Teaching AS Level Art Craft and Design is also required. Our fantastic facilities include: Dedicated arts spaces including: Specific independent learning zone for creative students. A darkroom A studio A fully equipped Mac suite The college provides a diverse range of full-time education programmes for learners aged 16-18 and adults 19, ranging from Level 2 to Level 3, including both academic and vocational pathways. What You Will Do You will design and deliver innovative and engaging classes in Fine Art and Textiles, catering to learners of varying abilities. Responsibilities include: Introducing students to various fine art and textiles artists, influences, approaches, and mediums. Shared responsibility for retention, achievement, value added and attendance rates for identified cohorts. Developing new units, modules, and courses in line with governmental policy and local community requirements. Teaching practical art and design techniques, emphasizing creative and critical thinking skills.
