About the Role: As the Engineering Manager, you'll oversee all engineering activities, ensuring that systems run efficiently and that our facility operates seamlessly. You'll manage a talented team, coordinate maintenance schedules, and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions.
About You: We're looking for an Engineering Manager with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach. You'll have a solid background in managing engineering functions within a large commercial or industrial environment and be eager to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning the work for the team and allocating tasks (PPMS and responsive tasks) to the team.
2. Responsible for overseeing all operational matters relating to the effective Plant and Equipment Maintenance on the site.
3. To be engineering operational lead for the Campus.
4. Liaison with Contract Manager(s) and Client(s) to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements.
5. Ownership of key plant areas (As allocated).
6. Ensuring all records are updated and maintained to standards required.
7. Quality Checks on works completed by team.
8. Liaison with Key stakeholders in arranging intricate works on site.
9. Productivity Management of the team.
10. Ensuring team has PDP in place and adequate training is planned and booked.
11. After appointment by the AE carryout the duties of Authorised Person (AP) HV-LV Electrical systems, Confined Space, Systems etc, dependent upon your qualifications.
12. Deputise and act as Technical Operations Manager in their absence as directed by the Account Manager.
13. Provide guidance and advice on contractors RAMS for non-routine works on site, as required.
14. To carryout assessment of Contractors competencies, as required.
15. Give advice to Account / Contract Manager on Technical Competencies required to fulfil the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance requirements and, as necessary, arrange Technical Training for Site Staff.
16. Development and review of site policies and procedures relating to the maintenance of installed plant and equipment ensuring that these are agreed with the Technical Manager and Divisional Technical Director/CAE before being implemented.
17. Identify and develop training plans specific to installed equipment to facilitate training of site engineers and for staff development.
