Job summary The post holder will work in Cellular Pathology office providing clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Cellular Pathology Department. Undertaking general clerical duties, which include data entry of patient details and result entry on the departments' specialist software. They will be required to liaise with all grades of staff within the department and to communicate with external users of the service. They will need to work in line with the Trust and Departmental policies and procedures. Main duties of the job Typing of diagnostic and supplementary reports. Dealing with telephone and email requests and face to face enquiries from all staff groups in and out of department. Prepare slides and supporting documentation to send to specialist centres for second opinion. Audit track movement of slides in filing and on LIMS. To undertake general administrative and clerical duties, filling and photocopying. To receive, relay and act on data relating to patients, samples and results in order to provide a comprehensive and responsive service to all users of the laboratory.
