Description The Service & Team: Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board (CIoS SAB) is a multi-agency partnership that focusses on safeguarding practice our area. We ensure that agencies and professionals work together appropriately to prevent and protect adults with care and support needs from abuse and neglect. CIoS SAB has a small core team that supports our partners to achieve this by coordinating and leading strategic work that supports partners to be assured of local practice, seeking assurance and challenging as required. The team and role work flexibly and includes working from home or office options. There will be a need for working across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as a geographical location as required for team and in person meetings. The Role: The team is recruiting a part-time (25-30 hours) administrator to work alongside our fulltime administrator to meet current demand. This is a fixed term post of 12 months and could also be considered as a secondment for internal applicants. SAB Administrators support the SAB team and wider partnership by undertaking the administrative functions that enable SAB partners to meet their statutory duties and functions. This includes Providing administrative support to SAB meetings including agenda setting and minutes in a timely and accurate way Managing communications, calendars and scheduling across the team and partnership Coordinating, monitoring and reporting progress against actions and projects in an accessible way, highlighting barriers, risks and challenges to SAB Business Manager Establishing and maintain contacts, mechanisms and evaluation processes for the effective management of SAB work, communications and events Working closely with the SAB team, Subgroup Chairs and multi-agency partners to produce, develop and maintain templates, documents and reports for the effective communication of project messages and the delivery of the strategy and business plan Further information is available in the full role profile found in the ‘additional information’ section below. What you’ll need to succeed: A good standard of education – minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and mathematics Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to produce accurate and timely minutes recording the outcomes of meeting discussions. Experience of data collection, management and analysis Good communication skills at all levels in both written, verbal and visual formats Confidence in liaising and prompting others regarding agreed actions.
