Here at Vertu Motors we have a unique opportunity for a HR Shared Service Manager to join our central team.
Working alongside colleagues in the wider HR function, as HR Shared Services Manager you will lead a small Shared Service Admin team of six people to provide an effective and efficient end-to-end employee lifecycle service to the organisation. This includes being involved with the day-to-day colleague set up in the payroll system (Dayforce) and how this relates to the wider organisation set up.
With a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience and a drive to achieve continual improvement, this is a fast-paced role that requires accuracy and an in-depth understanding of HR policies and processes.
Some key responsibilities in the role will include:
1. Lead on senior management and confidential contracts of employment, providing data insights into group benchmarking.
2. Work with the Reward and Benefit team in the role of ‘Work Force Management Lead’ for the wider payroll system and how it impacts colleagues and management in the dealership.
3. Manage and develop the Shared Service Admin team in the delivery of high quality, consistent daily HR support for all employee lifecycle processes, systems, and activities.
4. Continually drive process improvements, identifying issues and working with HR colleagues and wider teams to deliver solutions.
5. Identify and introduce service levels (SLAs) to meet work volumes and stakeholder needs.
6. Oversee and maintain the accuracy of employee lifecycle data entry into Dayforce.
7. Produce reports and other MI to monitor consistency and support improvements to services delivered by the team.
8. Coach and motivate the team, identifying training and development opportunities to optimise performance and maximise potential.
9. Provide support to the Head of Recruitment & Talent in day-to-day HR activities.
To be considered, you will require:
1. A track record of delivering process improvements in a customer-focused HR Shared Services environment, operating at managerial or supervisory level.
2. Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team to deliver an excellent service.
3. Experience of developing SLAs with a continuous improvement approach.
4. A naturally inquisitive, creative, and proactive approach to problem solving and initiating solutions.
5. Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with the ability to confidently challenge.
6. Excellent IT skills and experience of working with an HRIS (Dayforce would be ideal).
