Job Title: Social Worker – Safeguarding Team
Location: Bolton Council
Rate : £30 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available in Bolton. They are looking for a new member for their Safeguarding team.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will be working in a borough-wide service that caters to new clients or those not currently allocated to qualified workers in other teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting duty work screening for safeguarding referrals, which averages about two days per week. Additionally, you will be conducting Section 42 inquiries under the Care Act 2014. You will be part of a small yet dedicated team that fosters a supportive environment. Adherence to Bolton’s safeguarding policy and procedure is essential, and you will need to have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, as MCA assessments and decisions on Best Interests are integral to your role.

Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for this role, you must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and have post-qualified experience. A degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
