The Consumer Credit Cards Team is a market leading provider of Credit Card products across the Lloyds, Halifax, BOS and MBNA brands. One in four Credit Card users chooses an LBG product and we provide accessible, flexible and responsible lending. This role will sit within our newly-formed New Product Development team, which is responsible for shaping segment-led product strategy and E2E customer-centric products and propositions for credit cards, along with P&L accountability for said products.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead as an Analytics Manager, where your expertise will drive innovation and product excellence. Working closely with the credit cards commercial and tech teams as well as across key functional teams including Affordability, Customer Propositions, Everyday Banking, Customer Insights, Credit Risk and CCO, you'll play a pivotal role in our innovation agenda. Key accountabilities will include:
* Extracting and analysing data using SAS/SQL through SAS Enterprise Guide or Teradata, translating it into actionable insights.
* Bringing to bear new and existing data sources to provide analytical recommendations that influence product feature developments.
* Developing key metrics and dashboards for monitoring product performance, customer usage and outcomes, product P&Ls, and key performance indicators.
* Using insights to identify gaps and suggest improvements to products and propositions.
* Conducting deep dives into customer behaviours to influence product design and recommend improvements.
* Applying analytical techniques to extract insights from complex data sources, understand market trends, and develop new innovation opportunities.
* Partnering across the organisation to ensure robust customer outcomes and contribute to group strategy objectives.
What you’ll need
Apply balanced thinking across commercial and customer needs. Translate data into actionable insights that drive outstanding customer outcomes and product innovation. Collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate findings effectively. Lead a small team of analysts, utilising skills in people management and mentoring.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* A strong numerical background.
* Proven experience applying data mining software in a complex, commercial environment, highly proficient in SAS/SQL.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Practical experience using data to derive customer and product insights and understand market trends. Previous experience in data-led product strategy teams, preferably in financial services (credit cards/consumer lending desirable).
* Clear articulation of insights and recommendations to senior managers and collaborators.
* Ability to identify gaps, recommend product improvement strategies, and measure performance independently.
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, adjust to changing priorities, and deliver results.
* Experience developing arguments that balance value and customer experience.
* Effective communication and influencing skills to reach agreement and gain support for recommendations.
* Ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate a diverse workload effectively.
* People management and coaching for direct reports.
