Specialist Inventory supplies position responsible for the daily management of Inventory stock within LGI Theatres, including the management of the receipt and distribution process, replenishment of stocks at their point of use and reviewing the movement of goods and handling supply chain issues for a busy Theatre department in line with the Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy. To lead on required inventory systems using specialist storage projects ensuring that all catalogue and non-catalogue stock is managed in line with the departments requirements. Responsible for ensuring that end users at all levels are fully trained in all automated systems, including all Trust Bank temporary staff. The post holder is required to ensure that processes and policies are adhered too, and targets are monitored and achieved. The Specialist Inventory Supply Chain Manger will be responsible for over £2m of stock with an annual spend of over £6m per annum. Responsible for all materials management staff on all wards and within theatres at the Leeds General Infirmary. The post holder will manage both Supply X and Oracle requisitioning on behalf of the Theatres and Anaesthetics Clinical Service Unit. 5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Experience of working within a supply chain department, ideally within a customer facing service environment. Knowledge and experience of procurement IT systems, including management of information systems, data capture devices and bar code technology. Knowledge of GS1 bar codes and applications The ability to manage the staff and liaise with colleagues and customers at all levels. Knowledge of clinical products, implants, and associated consumables. The postholder must work with honesty and integrity and lead with a can do attitude. He / She must ensure the department works for the benefit of the patient and provides a first-class service to support other to achieve their own goals.
