About the role:
We are currently seeking a Consultant or Senior Ecologist interested in working within the Rail and Construction sectors, for a mix of WFH and site-based work across England and Wales.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for great exposure and development within the rail and construction industries, as you'll be joining a small team, involved in projects at all stages, and receive great training and support to gain further qualifications.
The role will involve:
* ECoW work, habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
* Talking to clients, managing their requirements, producing quotes, carrying out the work, and producing reports.
* Conducting ecological surveys and reports
* Providing ecological advice and toolbox talks
* Watching briefs and supporting vegetation management operatives and clients.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary will be in the region of £27,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and licences/qualifications (negotiable for exceptional candidates).

About you:
You will need at least 2+ years experience (post-qualification) in the Ecology sector, and ideally have at least one protected species licence or be close to obtaining.
You will also need:
* A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
* Experience in undertaking Ecological Clerk of Works roles.
* A good understanding of relevant legislation, including the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness and flexibility to undertake evening or weekend shifts where unavoidable
* Existing right to live and work in the UK
