A CQC-rated ‘good’ organisation with ‘outstanding’ features, we are working towards university hospital status, having achieved teaching hospital status in 2019.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our Captain Sir Tom Moore Theatre elective service. Relevant qualifications are required for NMC/AHP registrants. Please see person specification in the attached job description.
We welcome applications from experienced, newly qualified Nurses and ODPs, or students who are due to qualify within the next 12 months. You will be fully supported by all perioperative practitioners in this department. We are a very caring team, with full support from the line manager.
All applicants will be expected to possess excellent communication and teamwork qualities, with a willingness to learn new skills. You should be forward-thinking and passionate about providing a high standard of patient care and equality, with an enthusiastic approach in teaching/supporting students and colleagues.
Practitioners will be team players with a flexible attitude to service requirements, and a defined awareness of the importance of service delivery.
In return for your dedication and enthusiasm, we offer a fully supported preceptorship and core competency programme championed by our Perioperative Practice Education team. Continuing professional development is available via both in-house and university-based training initiatives such as a Scrub Circulating Course, Advanced Life Support, and regular CPD reviews to support progress in all aspects.
