What's involved with this role: Role: Contract Management Team Leader Job Ref: QAD 2006/2910 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours per week Contract Length: Anticipated 6 months This role can be worked from London, Leeds or Manchester We are recruiting for an experienced contract manager to lead and motivate a team of for call off contract management, and to help train and develop the team members in contract management principles and practice. We are seeking candidates with excellent central government contract management experience. You will lead on implementing and embedding appropriate contract management processes in the Team, in line with Government Commercial Function best practice. Key responsibilities: Communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders to promote and support delivery of the team’s service, building and maintaining good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support teams with developing pipelines of work and navigating governance procedures. Develop and continually improve the teams service to support procuring and accessing legal services. Lead and manage the team, ensuring that the team’s workload is effectively managed. Key requirements: Strong track record of active contract management, including experience with call-off contracts, monitoring compliance, and ensuring value-for-money principles. Familiarity with Government Commercial Function standards and best practices for public sector contract management. Experience of line management of at least one person, and preferably a small team of people.
