YJS Case Manager – Dudley YJS
A vacancy has arisen resulting in us being able to offer you to join our team. You will be joining a team working towards offering young people an alternative approach to engagement, focused on attempting to enable them to desist from offending & anti-social behaviour through therapeutic interventions – including through art and music. We are a service keen to embed a Child First approach to working with all children and believe that championing the positive factors which may already be present in their lives will give us the best chance of achieving this.
We are seeking to recruit a Case Manager to our team. Ideal candidates will possess specialist working knowledge of social work and youth justice practice in children's services, experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families as well as being registered with Social Work England.
As a YJS Case Manager you will demonstrate qualities that will assist the management team in providing an effective service that meets the individual needs of young people and families to reduce and prevent further offending. You will also assist in developing specific areas of expertise and knowledge across the service in order to improve practice.
You must be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to engaging and supporting children and young people who are subject to out of court disposals and statutory court orders; both within the community and custodial settings; in accordance with legal requirements, national standards and local policies.
Being a reflective practitioner will enable you to demonstrate an efficient approach to time and task management, possess key skills to produce work in a timely manner and show competency in representing the service within a variety of settings including risk management forums.
You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England to apply for this role, or a degree level qualification in a related area of expertise.
