Key Responsibilities: Manage portfolio spend (3-8% of turnover) with a focus on direct procurement. Negotiate supplier terms, pricing, and mitigate risks to ensure supply continuity. Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost-efficiency, quality, and delivery. Lead cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance management. Collaborate with commercial, supply chain, and R&D to align procurement with business needs. Provide market insights and category management to inform decisions. Oversee the contracting process from supplier selection to final negotiation. Manage supply chain risks and ensure timely innovation delivery. Measures of Success: Financial: Oversee £30-50M spend with contract approval up to £1.5M. Operational: Effective supplier, SKU, and factory management. Tender portfolio requirements and negotiate to secure optimal pricing. Competencies: Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management. Experience in driving cost reductions and maintaining quality. Ability to manage supplier relationships under pressure. Qualifications: Expertise in supplier negotiation, risk management, procurement strategy, and category management. Proficient in SAP and financial forecasting. Strong market insight and direct procurement experience.
