Salary: £18.00 per hour (£32,760) rising to £18.90 per hour (£34,398)

About the Role
Do you want to work for a class-leading charity and make a difference to members of the Police Family in their time of need? The PTC is a national Police Charity supporting those with physical and psychological injuries, conditions, and illnesses; with the aim of assisting their return to better health and wellbeing. The PTC also manages The Police Children’s Charity, which supports the Police Family and would also be part of the Charity Engagement Officer (EO) remit.
We are looking for an EO to join our dynamic and successful Charity Engagement Team. This is a challenging and exciting role that is vital in contributing to the Charities’ impact and reach.
Responsibilities
1. Work in a small team to successfully deliver the Charities’ Engagement Strategy.
2. Bring new ideas of engagement and promotion to the team.
3. Ensure strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to highlight the Charities’ work.
4. Raise the profile of the Charities at presentations and exhibitions.
5. Prepare successful campaigns and events for the PTC & The Police Children’s Charity.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience in presenting and public speaking is desirable. Experience in copywriting and print design with a creative flair is important.
Additional Information
The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, and a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role is primarily based at St Andrews, Harrogate; however, travel is an essential part of this role. A valid driving license is required, but use of a charity vehicle will be provided. Candidates must have a flexible approach and be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings as the role requires.
