To support our Company-wide art programme, we are delighted to be recruiting an Art Tours Host at The Fife Arms Hotel, Braemar. This role is contracted to 24 hours per week.
Guest Facing
Art Tours
* Lead all daily Art Tours for Fife Arms guests
and invited groups, as per a rota.
* Lead dedicated Art Tours for children and
families as part of seasonal Art Room programmes, as required.
* Ensure suitable systems are in place to collate
attendance at, and guest feedback from, Fife Arms Art Tours.
* Support the Head of Arts & Cultural
Programming in devising new, income generating, Art Tour experiences for guests
and private groups.
Team Member
Art Training & Engagement
* Contribute to regular New Hire Inductions, led by the
People Team, sharing information on Artfarm’s commitment to Art.
* Lead dedicated Art Tour training sessions for
Fife Arms team members.
* Fulfil the role of ‘Art Ambassador’ for the Fife
Arms by building team member engagement with the Art collection and its key
role in the Company’s vision.
* Ensure team member art and training resources
are up to date, refreshing information and resources
when there are changes to artworks within the local property.
* Collate content from hotel team members for inclusion
in ‘Art at the Heart’ section of the Artfarm Connect newsletter
* Conduct a
quarterly review of training resources and implement a rotation schedule in back
of house spaces.
* Encourage team members to participate in art-related
community projects through volunteering and/or sharing creative skills.
* Collaborate with the People Team to host art socials/
lunch & learns that provide insights into artistic concepts and stories
behind artworks on site.
Knowledge of
Collections
* Undertake self-led research and develop a robust
knowledge of the Art collection at the Fife Arms and the artists whose works
are showcased in the hotel, and share that knowledge with guests and team
members, through tours, training and resources.
* Support the Cultural Programme Manager in
devising engaging guest resources inspired by the Art collection.
* Undertake regular inspections of the collection,
reporting any damage or concerns to Senior Management.
* Act as a property point of contact for Art related
concerns, issuing information reports and escalating to a Group contact where
necessary.

Support
Attend quarterly calls with fellow Art Ambassadors,
Head of Cultural Programming and Head of Learning & Development.
Essential Criteria
* Excellent Communications skills – verbal and
written
* Excellent Interpersonal skills and qualities
* Experience of leading public tours and/or public
speaking
* Experience of working in the cultural or
education sectors
* Motivated self-starter
* Good ICT skills
* Have a valid Right to Work in the UK - we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role
