Apprentice Neighbourhood Coordinator Location: Oldham (hybrid) Salary: National Minimum wage (This will vary depending on age) Job Type: Fixed-Term (15 months) So what will you be doing? In this role your responsibilities will be: Shadow Neighbourhood Co-ordinators to deliver high quality Tenancy management. Making contact with customers via home visits, telephone calls and office interviews to ensure that the terms of the Tenancy Agreement are being adhered to, including: Tenancy Reviews, Decants, Direct Exchanges, Succession Requests and Abandoned Tenancies To learn about the use prevention, early intervention and enforcement approaches working alongside partner agencies (joint working; visits; sign posting; referring; instigating and attending Multi - Agency Meetings) Working alongside the Neighbourhood Co-ordinator to ensure that vulnerable tenants are appropriately supported in order to sustain their tenancies. Working in line with the Tenancy Management Policy, related procedures and relevant legislation. To be able to identify issues of Safeguarding, particularly in relation to issues of Adult and Child Safeguarding, Domestic Violence, mental health, alcohol and drug misuse working in line with regulatory framework. This will include an understanding of where the concerns would be referred to. To develop communication skills to deal with complex and difficult situations successfully by utilising conflict management and also to understand the diversity of our customers. To shadow multi-agency teams and work as part of a multi-agency team. To help organise and attend community events working with other agencies within the community for benefit of customers. To work towards being able to manage some communications with customers, carry out assessments over the telephone and help to deal with neighbourhood issues such as fly tipping. You will develop your ability to manage the overall void process working closely with our internal partners by understanding how to carry out pre-termination inspections and managing processes whilst also communicating with customers to deliver properties which meet the re-let standard and which they are satisfied with the quality of their new home. To collaborate with the Income Collection Team to ensure income for the business is maximised, by providing customers with debt and benefit advice and assisting new and existing tenants in accordance with the Welfare Reform Act 2012 to promote a positive payment culture. To build strong working partnerships both internally and externally to ensure that you gain maximum understanding of FCHO as a whole business. To help understand and support the Neighbourhood Co-ordinators in achieving set targets on both individual and Neighbourhood Team levels by delivering excellent landlord services, income maximisation and high levels of customer satisfaction. To ensure all paperwork, ICT systems and other electronic records are kept accurately updated in accordance with GDPR.
