Our client empowers people with the skills they need to succeed in life. Together they're helping people change their stories.
Key responsibilities
You will work as part of their school programmes team, supporting the delivery of sport and reading and writing programmes and work with alternative provision (AP) settings.
Our client's AP programmes work with students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. They also have a range of programmes that use sport to engage primary-aged children and young people with reading and writing.
They work with sports clubs as well as community and education settings. You will support project delivery including recruitment of settings, evaluation administration, marketing, book ordering, event and training set-up (digital and in-person).
Requirements
You will need experience of administration and team support, as well as use of contact databases and website content management systems. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, organisational skills and attention to detail are essential. Experience in a related field, such as the education sector, or work with schools and teachers, would be an advantage.
Why this role is vital
Reading and writing change everything. They give you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future. They're the key to knowledge, confidence and inspiration. They're better results at school, and better jobs. If children grow up without the tools to communicate, without books to read or opportunities to write, it's harder to get where you want to go.

Our client's people are their most important asset and they value and respect diversity in all its forms (seen and unseen). They particularly welcome applications from those from Black and Asian backgrounds, as well as candidates with disabilities and from the communities in which they work. They would like to increase representation of these groups among their staff as they know greater diversity will lead to an even greater impact for their work.
