QUALITY INSPECTOR - INSIDE IR35/PAYE - £13 PER HOUR PAYE OR £18 PER HOUR VIA UMBRELLA - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
We are seeking a dedicated Aerospace Inspector to perform comprehensive inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems. This role is vital to ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control within the aerospace sector, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to product safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of aerospace components and finished products using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
2. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
3. Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections in accordance with AS9100 and other relevant aerospace standards.
4. Identify, document, and communicate any non-conformances or defects, collaborating with production teams to address and resolve issues.
5. Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, measurements, and recommendations for corrective actions.
6. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to confirm that parts and assemblies meet specified tolerances and finishes.
7. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained according to company procedures.
8. Engage in root cause analysis and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and minimizing defects.
9. Stay current with industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in all inspections.
10. Collaborate closely with quality engineers, production staff, and management to maintain consistent quality across all production processes.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an inspector in the aerospace industry or a related manufacturing field.
2. Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA regulations.
3. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools, including CMM.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications effectively.
5. Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
7. Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
8. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) is a plus.
