Our Business Support teams play crucial roles in our firm, ensuring that the legal teams can focus on delivering high-quality legal services to clients while the Business Support teams handle the administrative and operational tasks that keep the firm running smoothly. They provide essential support functions such as financial stewardship, risk management, innovation and technology, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Gillespie Macandrew has a new opportunity for a Process and Reporting Analyst to support our Operation and Finance teams in the Edinburgh office. The main objective of the role is to assist in identifying solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity by bridging the gap between business users and technology. The focus will be on data analysis, collaboration technologies, and working on client and partner projects. The role will also involve serving as a subject matter expert on data flow and reporting.
Key responsibilities will include supporting with various projects including process automation, document automation and management, and collaboration activities. Additionally, the role will require using data to generate insights, helping the team analyse business issues and opportunities related to IT and business changes, test planning, test execution, preparing user documentation, and providing training to employees for successful implementation of new processes or systems.
The successful candidate for this position will possess analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and project management skills. They should be able to demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills, have knowledge of business processes and procedures, and be able to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Excel skills are required, and knowledge of 3E Elite, iManage, Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power BI, and relational database management are desirable.
