Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS), you will be responsible for providing a range of construction cost management / quantity surveying consultancy services to a portfolio of clients. This will include managing pre- and post-contract stages on a range of projects, typically including fire remediation and façade refurbishments within social housing, industrial fit-outs, and work programmes within the education sector.
Key responsibilities will include -
1. Provide a range of pre- and post-contract construction cost management services
2. Prepare feasibility reports, cost plans and estimates
3. Prepare and analyse tender documents and manage contractor appointments
4. Undertake interim valuations, manage payments and settle final accounts
5. Undertake the role of Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent
6. Provide technical advice on contractual issues and legal matters.
What you'll need to succeed
7. MRICS / MCIOB qualified
8. Significant experience in undertaking a range of pre- and post-contract construction cost management / quantity surveying services
9. A proven track record of working within a construction consultancy / quantity surveying practice
10. Proficient at preparing cost plans, managing budgets and administering building contracts
11. Proficient knowledge of building contracts such as JCT / NEC
