Protocol Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join a secondary school in Ashington for at least one term. This full-time role offers the opportunity to deliver creative and engaging lessons, helping students develop practical skills and a passion for design.
The Role:
1. Delivering DT lessons across KS3 and KS4, including textiles, product design, and resistant materials.
2. Planning and delivering practical and theory-based sessions that meet curriculum standards.
3. Supporting students in developing technical and creative skills through hands-on projects.
4. Ensuring a safe and well-managed classroom, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes and maintain high standards.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Proven experience delivering DT lessons in a secondary school setting.
3. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
4. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
5. Adaptability, creativity, and a commitment to student progress.
