We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Lead Nurse to join our nursing team. Applicants must be RGN registered with at least 3 years post-registration experience, have experience in primary care practice nursing, and a recognised qualification in diabetes management. Previous experience in a lead nurse role is a distinct advantage.
The Lead Practice Nurse will be responsible for leading the nursing team at the practice. The team includes two other Practice Nurses and two HCAs. The role will include the organisation of services and clinics, policies and protocols, nurse rota, etc. The role will involve close liaison with the Managing Partner and GP Partners.

The post holder will operate within their own sphere of competence to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.

Job responsibilities
The lead practice nurse is responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursing service within the practice and to perform the necessary treatment room functions and procedures as required within her main duties and responsibilities.
