About The Role
As a Digital Forensic Investigator, your role will be the forensic examination and retrieval of evidence and intelligence from digital devices and related media.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
* Carrying out forensic examinations of digital devices and media, securing and retrieving relevant data in accordance with guidelines, using proprietary and bespoke forensic hardware and software.
* Extracting data using suitable applications for the Officer in the Case (OIC), facilitating data viewing, and advising the OIC on the evidential significance of the recovered data.
* Preparing reports and statements, understanding rules of evidence related to seizure, preservation, and admissibility, and advising CPS/Counsel on digital evidence, including court presentations.
* Providing technical advice and assistance to colleagues regarding forensic examinations, guidance during interviews, and assessing the validity of suspect answers.
Applicants must be aware they will work with child abuse material regularly; support for wellbeing will be provided.

About You
Are you educated to level 6 in Computer Studies or have relevant digital forensics experience?
Do you possess investigative and analytical skills?
Are you experienced with various computer operating systems?
Do you have a good understanding of file systems?
Do you have experience producing detailed reports?
