Place of Work: To manage our Business Centre Facilities in Bridlington, Driffield, Beverley and Market Weighton (so can be based from any of these locations).
Do you like a daily challenge and are you self-motivated? Do you possess solid leadership and people management abilities, as well as building/facility management experience and plenty of health and safety knowledge? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Invest East Yorkshire Team within Economic Development as Assistant Business Centre Manager. The Team manages an expanding portfolio of Business Centres that offer first-rate office and workshop space in Bridlington, Beverley, Driffield, Goole, Market Weighton, Hessle, and Brough. These facilities offer offices and workshops to start-ups and small to medium-sized enterprises under licence agreements. In addition, each centre offers conference and meeting room facilities for hire to a wide range of customers. Furthermore, there is a free business support program available, with committed business advisors working within the Centres to assist individuals wishing to start a new business or support existing companies with their growth.
The main objective is to deliver a customer-focused service within a professional business setting, ensuring each centre is fully occupied, well maintained, and all policies and procedures are adhered to.
The successful applicant will be required to directly manage an established team of Business Centre Receptionist/Facility Coordinators. Oversee the daily operations of each centre including all property-related issues such as faults, general maintenance, health & safety, and financial processes along with dealing with day-to-day enquiries which can be diverse in nature. Visiting all sites is an essential part of the role, so a full driving licence and use of a vehicle will be necessary, as is the willingness to have a flexible approach to the position and hours worked.
This is a varied role which would enable the successful candidate to broaden their knowledge of economic development within the East Riding.
