Hillingdon Women’s Centre is 100% led by and for women. We believe in the importance of holding spaces where women can thrive together. We are feminists, passionate about championing social justice, challenging inequality, and offering services that directly impact women's lives in Hillingdon and surrounding boroughs.
We are seeking applications for the position of Domestic Abuse Caseworker, dedicated to assisting women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in their journey toward seeking support for domestic abuse. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional in the VAWG sector, offering frontline, trauma-informed support to women facing abuse or other forms of Gender-Based Violence. Given the specific focus on supporting victim-survivors from minoritised communities within the borough, the successful candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of the particular challenges faced by BAME women affected by domestic abuse.
The successful candidate must be passionate about ending Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and should already possess experience providing individualised practical advice, support, and advocacy to survivors. You will be joining a team of two other DA Caseworkers, so working collaboratively to support the outcomes of our service users will be necessary. Additionally, we expect the successful candidate to provide other aspects of more general information, support, and advice to our service users, recognising that the impact of domestic abuse has wider implications in areas such as immigration, finances, housing, etc.
This role is open to women only as an Occupational Requirement as a single-sex space in line with the Equality Act 2010.
